Javee Mocon had another shining moment.
He banged in 10 of his 20-point output in the last period as the defending champion San Beda Red Cubs walloped the Letran Squires, 95-84, Monday, Oct 21.
The last time he had a big game was on Aug. 31, 2013, when Mocon, who is still making up his mind over his future in college, tallied 18 points and 14 rebounds in leading the Red Cubs to their 10th straight win at the FilOil-Flying V Arena.

That was when they smothered the Lyceum Philippines University Junior Pirates, 108-60.
The six-foot-four Mocon and Ranbill Tongco collaborated for a big fourth quarter attack which gave the Red Cubs their 17th straight win, and a victory closer to a perfect season in the 89th National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Junior Basketball Tournament at the Arena in San Juan.
So, after 17 games, Mocon has improved his average to 11 points per game.
A layup and a triple from Tongco and Mocon found their mark in the last 5:39, allowing the Red Cubs to move away, 81-73.
The Red Cubs are nearing an 18-game sweep, and if they beat the Arellano Braves in their last outing on Saturday, they will earn an outright finals berth.
Coming out of a two-week break, the Red Cubs needed time to get their game going,
When they finally got their rhythm, Adven Diputado’s drive off Franz Abuda’s pass gave the Red Cubs a chance to move ahead for good, 76-73, in the last 7:08.
“Nung first half, hindi namin makuha iyung rhythm naming. Maybe because the boys got rusty. Pero nung nakuha namin, tuluy-tuloy na kami,” said Red Cubs coach JB Sison.
Mocon also had nine boards, Tongco shot 19 points, Arvin Tolentino chipped in 16 and Diputado had 11 for the Red Cubs.
The Squires, who have an 8-11 card in sixth, drew 30 big points from Ivan Villanueva, while John Alacre and Jerrick Balanza had 16 and 14.
